Every RytePad account comes with a referral link. When someone signs up through it and later buys Pro, 40% of their first payment is yours, paid to your PayPal account. No application, no approval step, open to every account.
Your link is under Account → Refer friends, together with your earnings and payouts.
https://rytepad.com/?ref=yournameCopy linkFour steps. The first two take a minute, the last one happens on its own.
Free, no card needed. Use RytePad for a few days before you recommend it; it is easier to describe something you actually use.
Log in, open Account, then the Refer friends tab. Your link looks like rytepad.com/?ref=yourname. One click copies it. Add your PayPal e-mail on the same tab.
A friend, your team, a post, a newsletter. Add &tid=something to the end (say, &tid=newsletter) and each sign-up shows which place it came from.
When a referred person buys Pro, 40% of that payment appears under Earnings. Commissions of a month are paid by PayPal between the 20th and 25th of the following month, once your balance reaches $20. Nothing to request.
Pro costs $14.97 a year, so a commission is about $6 per referral at today's price. The rules below are the same ones shown inside the app.
40% of the first Pro payment of each person who signed up through your link. It shows under This month the moment their payment goes through.
When the month it was earned in is over. From then on it counts towards Ready for payout.
By PayPal, in USD, between the 20th and 25th of the following month, once your payable balance is $20 or more. Smaller balances simply carry over to the next month. Each payout is listed in your account with its date.
Every RytePad charge can be refunded within 14 days. If a referred purchase is refunded, its commission is reversed, or deducted from your next payout if it was already paid out.
Everything about the program lives on one tab, updated as people sign up and buy.
Each referred account with its join date, country, traffic source, plan, tracking ID and what it earned you. A CSV export of the whole list is one click away.
Every commission with its date and status (pending until month end, payable, paid, reversed), plus each payout with its date, so the numbers always add up.
E-mail addresses are masked (jo***@***.com), enough to recognise your own sign-ups. You never see names, full addresses or anything they write in RytePad.
Optional. If you run campaigns, two things keep your own numbers in step with ours.
Tracking IDs. Append &tid= and any label to your link, up to 255 characters, so a click ID from an ad platform fits. The tid is stored with the sign-up, shown in your Referrals table and CSV, and passed back in postbacks.
Postbacks. Give us a URL on the Refer friends tab and we call it with a GET request when someone you referred signs up (amount 0) and again when they buy Pro (your commission). Put placeholders anywhere in the URL and we fill them in; without placeholders the fields are appended as query parameters. Your server should answer with a 2xx status; if it does not, we retry once a day for three days. A Send test button fires a test event right away.

Short, and mostly common sense.
Accounts that break these rules lose their earnings. Everything else is covered by our Terms of Service.
40% of the first Pro payment of each person who signs up through your link. Pro is $14.97 a year, so that is about $6 per referral at today's price.
It is one commission per person. When they renew the following year, nothing further is earned.
Commissions earned in a month become payable when that month is over. They are paid by PayPal, in USD, between the 20th and 25th of the following month, once your payable balance is $20 or more.
There is nothing to request. Smaller balances carry over until they reach $20. Add your PayPal e-mail on the Refer friends tab so the payout has somewhere to go.
Someone who opens your link and then creates an account within 30 days in the same browser. If they sign up on a different device or browser, or more than 30 days later, the sign-up will not be linked to you.
No. Every account has a referral link, on the free plan as much as on Pro, and the rate is the same for everyone.
Every RytePad charge can be refunded within 14 days of payment. If that happens, the commission is reversed. If it had already been paid out to you, the amount is deducted from your next payout instead.
No. There is no cap on referrals or on earnings. The only threshold is the $20 minimum for a payout.
You see each referred account's join date, masked e-mail address (for example jo***@***.com), country, traffic source, plan, tracking ID and the commission it earned, and you can export the list as a CSV file.
You never see their full e-mail address, their name or anything they write in RytePad.
It is an optional label you add to the end of your link, for example ?ref=yourname&tid=youtube. It is stored with each sign-up, shown in your Referrals table and CSV, and passed back in postbacks, so you can tell which place brings people in. Up to 255 characters, so a click ID fits.
Only if you run your own tracking. A postback is a GET request to a URL you provide, sent when a referral signs up and when they buy Pro, carrying the event, time, amount, currency and tid. Most people never need one; the tab works fine without it.
Just stop sharing the link. Nothing else is needed. Your referral history stays in your account, and any balance that reaches $20 is still paid out.
Your link is already waiting in your account. If you do not have one yet, it takes a minute to create.
